William Coningsby of Kings College, aged 17 a scholar from Eton 1651/2 of Aldenham, Herts., matriculated 1653 B.A. 1655/6 M.A. 1659 incorporated at Oxford 1681 Rector of Woodborough, Wiltshire.
(Is this William the brother of John [of the Aldenharn church window] and therefore son of Robert Coningsby and Susan Hicks? born in 1635 William is not shown on the 1634 visitation.
When I looked up Woodborough, this also was Button family land!
On the IGI. there is one of those ‘about’ listings – ‘William Coningsby about 1624 Woodborough – relation David Weeks’
