Duncomb refers to him as Captain Thomas Coningsby by reference to the tomb stone at Felton Church of St Michaels:-
‘Here lyeth the body of Captain Thomas Coningsby, of Morton Baggot, in the county of Warwick, esq, being the eldest family of that name. He died June 18, 1690.2‘
