     Henry Addington, 1st Viscount Sidmouth was born on 30 May 1757.¹ He was the son of Anthony Addington and Mary Hiley.^1,2 He married, firstly, Ursula Mary Hammond, daughter of Leonard Hammond, on 19 September 1781.¹ He married, secondly, Hon. Marianne Scott, daughter of William Scott, 1st and last Baron Stowell of Stowell Park and Anna Maria Bagnall, on 29 July 1823.¹ He died on 15 February 1844 at age 86.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1784 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.¹ He held the office of Recorder of Devizes in 1784.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Devizes between 1784 and 1805.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1789.¹ He held the office of Speaker, House of Commons between 1789 and 1801.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1791.¹ He held the office of Deputy Ranger of Richmond Park.¹ He held the office of Prime Minister between 1801 and 1804.¹ He held the office of First Lord of the Treasury between 1801 and 1804.¹ He held the office of Chancellor of the Exchequer between 1801 and 1804.¹ He held the office of Governor of Charterhouse in 1802.¹ He held the office of Lord President of the Council between January 1805 and July 1805.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Sidmouth, of Sidmouth, co. Devon [U.K.] on 12 January 1805.² He held the office of Lord Privy Seal between February 1806 and October 1806.¹ He held the office of Home Secretary between 1812 and 1822.¹ He held the office of Lord President of the Council between April 1812 and June 1812.¹ He held the office of High Steward of Westminster between 1813 and 1842.¹ He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1814 with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)¹ He held the office of Elder Brother of Trinity House between 1818 and 1844.¹

     Hon. Frances Addington was born in 1793.² She was the daughter of Henry Addington, 1st Viscount Sidmouth and Ursula Mary Hammond.³ She married Very Rev. Hon. George Pellew, son of Edward Pellew, 1st Viscount Exmouth and Susannah Frowde, on 20 June 1820.³ She died on 27 February 1870.³
     From 20 June 1820, her married name became Pellew.

     Henry Edward Pellew, 6th Viscount Exmouth was born on 26 April 1828.¹ He was the son of Very Rev. Hon. George Pellew and Hon. Frances Addington.² He married, firstly, Eliza Jay, daughter of William Jay, on 5 October 1858.¹ He married, secondly, Augusta Jay, daughter of William Jay, on 14 May 1873.¹ He died on 4 February 1923 at age 94.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Pellew, of Exmouth, co. Devon [G.B., 1796] on 16 August 1922.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Exmouth, co. Devon [U.K., 1816] on 16 August 1922.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baron Exmouth of Canonteign, co. Devon [U.K., 1814] on 16 August 1922.¹

     William Jay was a Judge.¹ He lived at New York, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Eliza Jay was the daughter of William Jay.² She married Henry Edward Pellew, 6th Viscount Exmouth, son of Very Rev. Hon. George Pellew and Hon. Frances Addington, on 5 October 1858.¹ She died on 22 December 1869.¹
     From 5 October 1858, her married name became Pellew.

     Charles Ernest Pellew, 7th Viscount Exmouth was born on 11 March 1863.¹ He was the son of Henry Edward Pellew, 6th Viscount Exmouth and Eliza Jay.² He married, firstly, Margaret Chandler, daughter of Professor C. F. Chandler, in 1886.¹ He married, secondly, Mabel Gray, daughter of Richard Gray, on 12 May 1923.¹ He died on 7 June 1945 at age 82.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Signal Corps, U.S. Volunteers.¹ He fought in the Spanish-American War.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Chemical Society.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Pellew, of Exmouth, co. Devon [G.B., 1796] on 4 February 1923.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Exmouth, co. Devon [U.K., 1816] on 4 February 1923.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baron Exmouth of Canonteign, co. Devon [U.K., 1814] on 4 February 1923.¹ He was naturalized as a U.K. national in 1931.¹

     Professor C. F. Chandler lived at New York, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Margaret Chandler was the daughter of Professor C. F. Chandler.² She married Charles Ernest Pellew, 7th Viscount Exmouth, son of Henry Edward Pellew, 6th Viscount Exmouth and Eliza Jay, in 1886.¹ She died on 3 May 1922.¹
     From 1886, her married name became Pellew.

     Frances Ursula Pellew was the daughter of Very Rev. Hon. George Pellew and Hon. Frances Addington.² She died in 1840.¹

     Georgiana Susan Pellew was the daughter of Very Rev. Hon. George Pellew and Hon. Frances Addington.² She married William Wells Addington, 3rd Viscount Sidmouth, son of William Leonard Addington, 2nd Viscount Sidmouth and Mary Young, on 29 September 1848.¹ She died on 2 January 1896.¹
     From 29 September 1848, her married name became Addington. After her marriage, Georgiana Susan Pellew was styled as Viscountess Sidmouth on 25 March 1864.
