     Humphrey Richard Pelly was born on 31 July 1886.¹ He was the son of Herbert Cecil Pelly and Mary Richenda Carter.² He married Barbara Vidal Scrutton, daughter of Frederick Scrutton and Maude Cunliffe Vidal, on 8 February 1916.¹ He died on 9 May 1955 at age 68.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers (Territorial Forces.)¹

     Frederick Scrutton married Maude Cunliffe Vidal, daughter of Reverend Francis Furse Vidal and Lucy Mary Cunliffe.
     He lived at Woolpits, Nutfield, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Barbara Vidal Scrutton was the daughter of Frederick Scrutton and Maude Cunliffe Vidal.² She married Humphrey Richard Pelly, son of Herbert Cecil Pelly and Mary Richenda Carter, on 8 February 1916.¹ She died on 17 June 1965.¹
     From 8 February 1916, her married name became Pelly.

     Diana Pelly was born on 8 May 1917.¹ She is the daughter of Humphrey Richard Pelly and Barbara Vidal Scrutton.² She married Robert Arthur Byas Sheppard, son of Gerald Arthur Sheppard, on 17 April 1936.¹
     From 17 April 1936, her married name became Sheppard.

     Gerald Arthur Sheppard lived at Bembridge, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹

     Robert Arthur Byas Sheppard is the son of Gerald Arthur Sheppard.² He married Diana Pelly, daughter of Humphrey Richard Pelly and Barbara Vidal Scrutton, on 17 April 1936.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Juliet Pelly was born on 28 January 1920.¹ She was the daughter of Humphrey Richard Pelly and Barbara Vidal Scrutton.² She married Major George Ian Bray, son of Colonel George Bray, on 8 October 1946.¹ She died on 12 April 2017 at age 97.³
     From 9 October 1946, her married name became Bray. She lived in 2003 at Cobblers Cottage, Bishop Monkton, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Colonel George Bray lived at Causeway House, Adel, Leeds, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Major George Ian Bray was the son of Colonel George Bray.² He married Juliet Pelly, daughter of Humphrey Richard Pelly and Barbara Vidal Scrutton, on 8 October 1946.¹ He died in 1985.¹
     He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹

     Rose Elizabeth Bray was born on 19 September 1950. She is the daughter of Major George Ian Bray and Juliet Pelly.²
