Ralph Leonard West was born on 11 July 1908.2 He was the son of Ralph Waldo West.1 He married Margaretta Cecil Mansel, daughter of Sir Courtenay Cecil Mansel, 13th Bt. and Mary Philippa Agnes Germaine Littlewood, on 30 March 1940.1 He died on 15 January 1981 at age 72 at Hereford, Herefordshire, England.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1
