     Major Algernon Thomas Marion Durand was born on 6 January 1900.¹ He was the son of Colonel Algernon George Arnold Durand and Elizabeth Marjorie Bruce.² He married Margery Underwood, daughter of J. S. Underwood, on 10 March 1939.¹ He died on 23 July 1961 at age 61, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was commissioned with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Coldstream Guards, Special Reserve. In 1920 he rowed for Oxford in the Oxford Blue Boat.³ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 5th City of London Rifle Brigade.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Margery Underwood is the daughter of J. S. Underwood.² She married Major Algernon Thomas Marion Durand, son of Colonel Algernon George Arnold Durand and Elizabeth Marjorie Bruce, on 10 March 1939.¹
     From 10 March 1939, her married name became Durand. She lived in 2003 at 3 Kings Close, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Robert Joceline Durand was born on 17 January 1902.¹ He was the son of Colonel Algernon George Arnold Durand and Elizabeth Marjorie Bruce.² He married Claire Brookes, daughter of Warwick Brookes, on 24 August 1935.¹ He died on 10 June 1980 at age 78.¹

     Claire Brookes was the daughter of Warwick Brookes.² She married Robert Joceline Durand, son of Colonel Algernon George Arnold Durand and Elizabeth Marjorie Bruce, on 24 August 1935.¹ She died on 2 December 1983.¹
     From 24 August 1935, her married name became Durand.

     Pamela Evelyn Theresa Durand was born on 9 October 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Robert Joceline Durand and Claire Brookes.²
     She lived in 2003 at Flat 2, Weavers Court, Weavers Lane, Henfield, Sussex, England^G.¹
