     Annie McCaskill was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir John McCaskill.² She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Marion Durand, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Henry Percy and Marion Durand, on 28 March 1843.¹ She died in August 1857.¹
     From 28 March 1843, her married name became Durand.

     Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Mortimer Durand was born on 14 February 1850.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Marion Durand and Annie McCaskill.² He married Ella Rebe Sandys, daughter of Teignmouth Sandys and Anne Elizabeth Cauty, on 1 March 1875 at Bhaugalpore, Bengal, India.^1,3 He died on 8 June 1924 at age 74.¹
     He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1872 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was with the Bengal Civil Service in 1873.¹ He was in the Foreign Office and political department.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1889.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1894.¹ He held the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Persia between 1894 and 1900.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1900.¹ He held the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Spain between 1900 and 1903.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1901.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to the U.S.A. between 1903 and 1906.¹

     Melvill William Sandys was born on 29 January 1837 at Arrah, Bengal, India.¹ He was the son of Teignmouth Sandys and Caroline Bayly.¹ He married Emma Marshall Cardew, daughter of Ambrose Cardew and Emma Maria Marshall, on 2 December 1858 at Bhaugalpore, Bengal, India.¹ He died on 6 July 1915 at age 78 at St. Kew, Bodmin, Cornwall, England.¹
     He was in the Bengal Civil Service.¹

     Ella Rebe Sandys was born on 8 September 1852 at Pains, Bengal, India.² She was the daughter of Teignmouth Sandys and Anne Elizabeth Cauty.^3,2 She married Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Mortimer Durand, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Marion Durand and Annie McCaskill, on 1 March 1875 at Bhaugalpore, Bengal, India.^1,2 She died on 29 April 1913 at age 60 at Marylebone, London, England.^1,2
     From 1 March 1875, her married name became Durand.

     Lt.-Col. Henry Marion Durand was born on 23 February 1876.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Mortimer Durand and Ella Rebe Sandys.² He died on 19 December 1954 at age 78, unmarried.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1914.¹ He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the 9th Lancers.¹

     Amy Josephine Durand was born on 8 October 1881.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Mortimer Durand and Ella Rebe Sandys.² She married Arthur Clement Wilmot on 19 December 1923.¹ She died circa 1968, without issue.¹
     From 19 December 1923, her married name became Wilmot.

     Arthur Clement Wilmot married Amy Josephine Durand, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Mortimer Durand and Ella Rebe Sandys, on 19 December 1923.¹
     He lived at The Gate, Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Major Neville Edward Cecil Rice was born on 29 October 1917.¹ He was the son of Reverend Mark Napier Rice and Beatrice Neville Parker.¹ He married Nicolette Hamilton Metcalfe on 8 December 1951.¹ He died on 15 August 1970 at age 52.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Nicolette Hamilton Metcalfe was born on 17 October 1924.¹ She married Major Neville Edward Cecil Rice, son of Reverend Mark Napier Rice and Beatrice Neville Parker, on 8 December 1951.¹
     From 8 December 1951, her married name became Rice.¹
