Sir Vernon Dupree, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 December 1884.1 He was the son of Sir William Thomas Dupree, 1st Bt. and Mary Groves.2 He married, firstly, Amy Marcella Price, daughter of John Price, on 10 April 1912.1 He married, secondly, Louisa Jennie Hillyard, daughter of George Hillyard, on 10 November 1955.1 He died on 4 September 1971 at age 86.1
He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the 7th Royal Fusiliers.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dupree, of Craneswater, Portsmouth, co. Southampton [U.K., 1921] on 30 January 1953.1
