     George Douglas Duntze was born on 23 January 1882.1 He was the son of John Alexander Duntze and Irene Matilda Nunes.2 He married Mabel Lillian Evans, daughter of Daniel Evans, on 15 December 1920.1 He died on 10 July 1946 at age 64.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the 2nd U.S. Cavalry, U.S. Army.1

     He fought in the Second World War, in the U.S. Army Air Force.1 He was educated at Washington University, School of Fine Arts, Washington, U.S.A.G.1 He was a commercial artist.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Duntze, of Tiverton, co. Devon [G.B., 1774] in 1987.1
