     Lt.-Col. Richard Charles Dundas was born on 16 October 1868.1 He was the son of Frederick Henry Fergusson Dundas and Ursula Mellish.2 He married Betty Ramsay, daughter of Alexander Ramsay, on 5 July 1904.1 He died on 25 September 1915 at age 46, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Scots.1 He fought in the Battle of Loos in September 1915.1

     From before 1904, her married name became Bruce.1 From 5 July 1904, her married name became Dundas.
