     He fought in the Boer War, with Lumsden’s Horse.¹ He was with Johannesburg Mounted Police.¹ He lived at Turlough Estate, Kenya.¹

     Victoria Doris Carey is the daughter of Major Rowland Dobree Carey.² She married Ormonde Edward Fitzgerald, son of Ormonde Fitzgerald and Catherine Dunne, on 4 December 1929.¹
     From 4 December 1929, her married name became Fitzgerald. She lived in 1976 at Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya^G.¹

     Desmond Fitzgerald was born on 20 June 1879.¹ He was the son of Ormonde Fitzgerald and Catherine Dunne.^2,1 He married Kathleen Helen Bicknell, daughter of Robert Thatcher Bicknell, on 3 March 1908.¹ He died on 29 December 1967 at age 88.¹
     He was in the Imperial Indian Police between 1903 and 1934.¹

     Kathleen Helen Bicknell was the daughter of Robert Thatcher Bicknell.² She married Desmond Fitzgerald, son of Ormonde Fitzgerald and Catherine Dunne, on 3 March 1908.¹ She died on 16 May 1974.¹
