     Sophia Huffington was the daughter of William Huffington.² She married William Findlater, son of John Findlater and Janet Dempster, on 6 June 1822.¹ She died on 9 February 1831.¹

     Sir William Huffington Findlater was born on 1 January 1824.¹ He was the son of William Findlater and Sophia Huffington.² He married, firstly, Mary Jane Wolfe, daughter of John Wolfe, on 1 September 1853.¹ He married, secondly, Marion Park, daughter of Lt.-Col. Archibald Park, on 26 February 1878 at Thanet, Kent, England.¹ He died on 16 April 1906 at age 82.¹
     He was a practising Solicitor in 1846.¹ He was President of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland in 1878.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monaghan between 1880 and 1885.¹ He was Chairmam of Findlater’s Mountjoy Brewery and Armstrong & Company Ltd.¹ He was President of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland in 1897.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1897.¹ He was Director of Dublin Artisans’ Dwelling Company Ltd.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Dublin.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin.¹ He lived at 22 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Fernside, Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Gertrude Chichester married Richard Birley Baxendale, son of Joseph Baxendale and Mary Birley, in 1861 at Devon, England^G.¹
     From 1861, her married name became Baxendale.¹

     Lt.-Col. William Quentin Findlater was born on 25 November 1905.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. William Alexander Victor Findlater and Leila Blackwell.^2,1 He married Sylvia Agnes Lawford, daughter of Captain Vincent Adrian Lawford, on 3 November 1938.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He retired from the military in 1954, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Irish Fusiliers.¹ He lived in 1976 at Weaver’s House, Bourton, Dorset, England^G.¹

     John Quentin Alexander Findlater was born on 10 May 1940.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. William Quentin Findlater and Sylvia Agnes Lawford.^2,1 He married Anne Victoria Bailey, daughter of Dr. Grenfell Moyle Bailey, on 10 July 1974.¹
