     William Ruxton was born circa 1743 at Ardee, County Louth, Ireland.2 He was the son of John Ruxton and Letitia FitzHerbert.3 He married Anna Upton, daughter of Christopher Henry Upton and Isabella Clarges, on 4 July 1785 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.3,2 He died in 1821 at Ireland.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)3 He lived at Ardee House, County Louth, IrelandG.3 He lived at Shercock, County Cavan, IrelandG.3

Isabella Ruxton1

     Isabella Ruxton was the daughter of William Ruxton and Anna Upton.2 She married Reverend Townley Filgate, son of William Filgate and Anne Filgate, in October 1809.2 She died in November 1855.1
     From October 1809, her married name became Filgate.
