     James Hubert Theobald Charles Butler, 7th Marquess of Ormonde was born on 19 April 1899.¹ He was the son of Rev. Lord James Theobald Bagot John Butler and Lady Annabella Brydon Gordon.¹ He married, firstly, Nan Gilpin, daughter of Garth Gilpin, on 3 March 1935.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Rarden, daughter of Charles B. Rarden, in 1976.¹ He died on 25 October 1997 at age 98.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1921.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baron Butler of Llanthony, co. Monmouth [U.K., 1821] on 17 April 1971.¹ He succeeded as the 25th Earl of Ormonde [I., 1328] on 17 April 1971.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Marquess of Ormonde [U.K., 1825] on 17 April 1971.¹ He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Ossory [I., 1528] on 17 April 1971.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Viscount Thurles [I., 1536] on 17 April 1971.¹ On his death, the Marquessate and Barony of Ormonde became extinct, and the other titles became dormant.¹

     Nan Gilpin was the daughter of Garth Gilpin.¹ She married James Hubert Theobald Charles Butler, 7th Marquess of Ormonde, son of Rev. Lord James Theobald Bagot John Butler and Lady Annabella Brydon Gordon, on 3 March 1935.¹ She died on 8 September 1973.¹
     Her married name became Butler. After her marriage, Nan Gilpin was styled as Marchioness of Ormonde on 17 April 1971.

     Garth Gilpin lived at Riverside, Illinois, U.S.A.¹

     Lady Constance Ann Butler was born on 13 December 1940.¹ She is the daughter of James Hubert Theobald Charles Butler, 7th Marquess of Ormonde and Nan Gilpin.¹ She married Henry Lea Soukop, son of Raymond J. Soukop, on 23 October 1965.¹
     From 23 October 1965, her married name became Soukop.¹ She lived in 2003 at 618 North Washington, Hinsdale, Illinois, U.S.A.¹

     Lady Violet Cynthia Lilah Butler was born on 31 August 1946.¹ She is the daughter of James Hubert Theobald Charles Butler, 7th Marquess of Ormonde and Nan Gilpin.¹ She married Ronald Robb in 1971.¹
     From 1971, her married name became Robb.¹ She lived in 2003 at 2734 North Racine Street, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.¹

     Violet Mary Emily Maud Butler was born on 22 April 1889.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. Lord James Theobald Bagot John Butler and Lady Annabella Brydon Gordon.¹ She married Ronald Victor Okes Hart-Synnot, son of Maj.-Gen. Arthur FitzRoy Hart-Synnot and Mary Susanna Synnot, on 11 April 1912.¹ She died on 30 September 1973 at age 84.¹
     Her married name became Hart-Synnot.

     Ronald Victor Okes Hart-Synnot was the son of Maj.-Gen. Arthur FitzRoy Hart-Synnot and Mary Susanna Synnot.^1,2 He married Violet Mary Emily Maud Butler, daughter of Rev. Lord James Theobald Bagot John Butler and Lady Annabella Brydon Gordon, on 11 April 1912.¹ He died on 20 April 1976.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Maj.-Gen. Arthur FitzRoy Hart-Synnot is the son of Lt.-Gen. Henry George Hart and Alicia Okes.² He married Mary Susanna Synnot, daughter of Mark Seton Synnot and Anne Jane Synnot.³
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He lived at Ballymoyer, County Armagh, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend Anthony Ronald Patrick Arthur Hart-Synnot was born on 28 March 1917. He is the son of Ronald Victor Okes Hart-Synnot and Violet Mary Emily Maud Butler.¹
     He was the Vicar in 1955 at St. Stephen’s Church, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England^G.
