Major Horace Christopher Fagan1

     Major Horace Christopher Fagan was born on 21 April 1840.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Christopher Sullivan Fagan and Elizabeth Jane Moule.2 He married Carolin Phillpott, daughter of Reverend Edmund Phillpott, on 4 October 1866.1 He died on 18 December 1878 at age 38.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Bengal Native Infantry.1

     From 4 October 1866, her married name became Fagan.

Frederick Christopher Fagan1

Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Arthur Fagan1

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Arthur Fagan was born on 25 November 1871.1 He was the son of Major Horace Christopher Fagan and Carolin Phillpott.2 He married Mary Dawbney Follett, daughter of Reverend Richard Francis Follett and Mary Ann Rawlinson, on 27 June 1906.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917 and bar (1918.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.1 He fought in the Afghan War in 1920.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1920.1 He was General Officer Commanding of the Kohat District, India between 1927 and 1930.1 He was commander of the Rawalpindi District between 1930 and 1931.1 He retired from the military in 1931, with the rank of Major-General, late of the Indian Army.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1932.1

     Norah Fanny Fagan was born on 15 April 1869.1 She was the daughter of Major Horace Christopher Fagan and Carolin Phillpott.2 She married, firstly, Robert Sidney Feltrim Fagan, son of Captain Robert Charles Henry Baines Fagan and Sarah Humphrey Burt, on 25 April 1887.1 She married, secondly, Major John Walter Merewether on 4 February 1905.1 She died on 10 November 1923 at age 54, without issue.1
     From 4 February 1905, her married name became Merewether.1
