     Colonel Thomas Eyre was born on 10 July 1809.1 He was the son of Thomas Eyre and Elizabeth Russell.2 He married, firstly, Emma Evans, daughter of John Evans, in 1841.1 He married, secondly, Maria Euphemia Ross, daughter of John Ross, in 1845.1 He married, thirdly, Anne Eyre, daughter of Reverend Richard Booth Eyre and Sarah Persse, on 12 April 1854.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Bombay Cavalry.2
