     Catherine Louisa Thompson was the daughter of Reverend Mungo Neville Thompson.² She married Surg.-Gen. John Cotter Dorman, son of Edward Bishopp Dorman and Jane Williamson, on 1 January 1883.¹ She died on 25 April 1944.¹
     From 1 January 1883, her married name became Dorman.

     Brigadier Edward Mungo Dorman was born on 11 March 1885.¹ He was the son of Surg.-Gen. John Cotter Dorman and Catherine Louisa Thompson.² He married Georgina Mabel Ingram, daughter of Walter Ingram, on 21 March 1911.¹ He died on 18 April 1967 at age 82.¹
     He was educated at Bath College, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, with 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He was commander of the 4th Irish Dragoon Guards between 1927 and 1931.¹ He was commander of the 3rd (Meerut) Cavalry Brigade between 1932 and 1936.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1941.¹ He was Assistant Chief Constable, War Department Constabulary between 1944 and 1946.¹ He lived at Myrtle Lodge, Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Avice Isabella Dorman is the daughter of Surg.-Gen. John Cotter Dorman and Catherine Louisa Thompson.² She married Edward Cresswell Thompson on 4 September 1913.¹
     From 4 September 1913, her married name became Thompson.¹ She lived in 1976 at Authorn, Cornhill Estate, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Edward Cresswell Thompson married Avice Isabella Dorman, daughter of Surg.-Gen. John Cotter Dorman and Catherine Louisa Thompson, on 4 September 1913.¹ He died on 17 June 1956.¹

     Marcia Violet Dorman was the daughter of Surg.-Gen. John Cotter Dorman and Catherine Louisa Thompson.² She married General Sir Walter King Venning, son of Edward Venning, on 24 January 1912.¹ She died on 13 February 1946.¹
     From 24 January 1912, her married name became Venning.

     Edward Venning lived with the Ceylon Civil Service.¹

     General Sir Walter King Venning was the son of Edward Venning.² He married Marcia Violet Dorman, daughter of Surg.-Gen. John Cotter Dorman and Catherine Louisa Thompson, on 24 January 1912.¹ He died on 19 June 1964.¹
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹
