     Alexander Fairlie Dobbs was born on 22 July 1897.¹ He was the son of Colonel Charles Fairlie Dobbs and Margaret Eleanor JoPP.² He died in April 1898.¹

     John Jopp Fairlie Dobbs was born on 24 August 1910.¹ He was the son of Colonel Charles Fairlie Dobbs and Margaret Eleanor JoPP.² He married Pamela Forwood, daughter of Sydney Brittain Forwood, on 12 November 1938.¹ He died on 21 October 1980 at age 70 at Claro, Yorkshire, England.³
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Woolwich, Kent, England^G.¹ Between 1931 and 1938 he served in India.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940, where he was wounded and became a POW (1940-45.)¹ He was Instructor in Gunnery (Field) between 1947 and 1949.¹ He retired from the military in 1955, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Artillery.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the East Riding, Yorkshire in 1961.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1974.¹ He lived in 1976 at 64 North Bar Without, Bewrky, England^G.¹

     Sir William Forwood lived at Bromborough Hall, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     Pamela Forwood is the daughter of Sydney Brittain Forwood.¹ She married John Jopp Fairlie Dobbs, son of Colonel Charles Fairlie Dobbs and Margaret Eleanor JoPP, on 12 November 1938.¹
     From 12 November 1938, her married name became Dobbs.

     Penelope Jane Fairlie Dobbs was born on 7 February 1940.¹ She is the daughter of John Jopp Fairlie Dobbs and Pamela Forwood.² She married John Jeremy Gleadow Holmes, son of Richard Peele Holmes, on 6 June 1964.¹
     From 6 June 1964, her married name became Holmes.

     Richard Peele Holmes lived at Little Humberdale, Swanland, North Ferriby, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     John Jeremy Gleadow Holmes is the son of Richard Peele Holmes.² He married Penelope Jane Fairlie Dobbs, daughter of John Jopp Fairlie Dobbs and Pamela Forwood, on 6 June 1964.¹
     He lived in 1976 at Keldy Cottage, Burton Pithea, Hull, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Brett Paul Holmes was born on 17 May 1972.¹ He is the son of John Jeremy Gleadow Holmes and Penelope Jane Fairlie Dobbs.²

     Tamsin Hazel Claire Holmes was born on 29 June 1966.¹ She is the daughter of John Jeremy Gleadow Holmes and Penelope Jane Fairlie Dobbs.²

     Cheryl Maureen Fairlie Dobbs was born on 22 April 1946.¹ She is the daughter of John Jopp Fairlie Dobbs and Pamela Forwood.² She married Keith Howard Turner, son of Wilfrid Arnold Turner, on 5 October 1968.¹
     From 5 October 1968, her married name became Turner.
