     Rt. Hon. Edward Litton is the son of Edward Litton and Esther Charlotte Letablere.¹ He married Sophia Stewart, daughter of Rev. Dr. Henry Stewart and Sophia Clossy, in September 1812.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Coleraine.² He held the office of Master in Chancery.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Coleraine.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)⁴ He lived at Altmore, County Tyrone, Ireland.²

     Charlotte Litton was the daughter of Edward Falconer Litton and Eliza Clarke.^2,3 She married Francis Stewart Dobbs, son of Robert Cathcart Dobbs and Harriet Adelaide Trail, on 26 August 1893.¹ She died on 11 January 1954.¹
     From 26 August 1893, her married name became Dobbs.

     Brigadier Cathcart Eric Stewart Dobbs was born on 24 February 1895.¹ He was the son of Francis Stewart Dobbs and Charlotte Litton.² He married, firstly, Edith Louise Elizabeth Haggart, daughter of Archibald Henderson Haggart, on 20 November 1919.¹ He and Edith Louise Elizabeth Haggart were divorced in 1931.¹ He married, secondly, Joan Margaret Eaton, daughter of Colonel Sir Richard William Eaton, on 6 April 1935.¹ He died on 17 November 1974 at age 79, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1915.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He retired from the military in 1946, with the rank of Brigadier, late of the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was a stockbroker.¹

     Edith Louise Elizabeth Haggart is the daughter of Archibald Henderson Haggart.² She married Brigadier Cathcart Eric Stewart Dobbs, son of Francis Stewart Dobbs and Charlotte Litton, on 20 November 1919.¹ She and Brigadier Cathcart Eric Stewart Dobbs were divorced in 1931.¹
     From 20 November 1919, her married name became Dobbs.

     Joan Margaret Eaton is the daughter of Colonel Sir Richard William Eaton.¹ She married Brigadier Cathcart Eric Stewart Dobbs, son of Francis Stewart Dobbs and Charlotte Litton, on 6 April 1935.¹
     From 6 April 1935, her married name became Dobbs. She lived in 1976 at 6 East Lodge, Rogate, Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Francis Edward Litton Dobbs was born on 16 December 1904.¹ He was the son of Francis Stewart Dobbs and Charlotte Litton.² He married Alice McGregor Gibb, daughter of John McGregor Gibb, on 17 May 1928.¹ He died on 21 December 1941 at age 37 at Hong Kong^G, from wounds received in action.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was member of the Chinese Government Civil Service under International Treaties of 1913.¹

     John McGregor Gibb lived at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹ He lived at Shanghai, China^G.¹

     Alice McGregor Gibb is the daughter of John McGregor Gibb.² She married, firstly, Francis Edward Litton Dobbs, son of Francis Stewart Dobbs and Charlotte Litton, on 17 May 1928.¹ She married, secondly, Fred Morris Metcalf on 9 April 1946.¹
