     Doreen Eleanora Anna Cooper was born on 4 November 1908.¹ She is the daughter of Austin Samuel Cooper and Evelyn Ethel Leahy.² She married, firstly, Simon Francis Low, son of Francis Simon Low, on 1 September 1926.¹ She and Simon Francis Low were divorced in 1940.² She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Cyril Harrison-Cooper on 21 August 1942.¹
     From 1 September 1926, her married name became Low. She gained the rank of Subaltern in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, during the Second World War.¹ From 21 August 1942, her married name became Harrison-Cooper.¹
