     John Lionel Cooper-Chadwick was born on 16 February 1899.1 He was the son of John Cooper-Chadwick and Wilhelmina Heuston.2 He married Beatrix Willie Penrose, daughter of Captain William Robert Penrose, on 8 August 1931 at Abbeyleix, County Laois, IrelandG.1,3 He died on 2 May 1968 at age 69.1
     He was educated at Royal School Armagh, Armagh, County Armagh, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1918 in the Indian Army.1 In 1919 he served on the Afghan Frontier.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He lived at Broad Acres, Charlton Adam, Somerset, EnglandG.1
