He fought in the Boer War in 1900.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffshire in 1903.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 2nd/1st Derbyshire Yeomanry, TFR.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Feilden, of Feniscowles, Lancashire [U.K., 1846] on 9 June 1912.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Lancaster Regiment.2
