     He was awarded the Knight, Order of Isabella the Catholic Spain.¹ He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Sussex.¹ He was founder pneumatic tyre industry and pioneer of the British motor industry.¹ He lived at Howberry Park, Wallingford, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived at Inniscorring, Dalkey, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hastings between 1906 and 1908.¹

     Annie Jane Royal was the daughter of James Royal.¹ She married William Harvey du Cros, son of Edward Peter du Cros and Anna Marie Molloy, on 20 May 1868.¹ She died on 5 May 1899.¹

     Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt. was born on 26 January 1871.¹ He was the son of William Harvey du Cros and Annie Jane Royal.² He married, firstly, Maude Gooding, daughter of William Gooding, on 31 October 1895.¹ He and Maude Gooding were divorced in 1923.¹ He married, secondly, Florence May Walton King, daughter of James Walton King, on 21 October 1928.¹ He married, thirdly, Mary Louise Joan Beaumont, daughter of William Buhman, on 22 December 1951.¹ He died on 28 October 1955 at age 84.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hastings between 1908 and 1918.¹ He was created 1st Baronet du Cros, of Canons, co. Middlesex [U.K.] on 5 July 1916.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Clapham between 1918 and 1922.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 8th Battalion, Royal Warwicks Regiment.¹ He was founder and president of Dunlop Rubber Company.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     William Gooding lived at Coventry, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     Maude Gooding was the daughter of William Gooding.² She married Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt., son of William Harvey du Cros and Annie Jane Royal, on 31 October 1895.¹ She and Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt. were divorced in 1923.¹ She died on 12 December 1938.¹
     From 31 October 1895, her married name became du Cros.

     Arthur Roy Peter du Cros was born on 15 March 1913.¹ He was the son of Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt. and Maude Gooding.² He married Myra Mary Mooney, daughter of Gerald Mooney, on 27 July 1935.¹ He died on 15 July 1985 at age 72.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1936 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Gerald Mooney lived at Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Myra Mary Mooney was the daughter of Gerald Mooney.² She married, firstly, John A. McArevey before 1935.¹ She married, secondly, Arthur Roy Peter du Cros, son of Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt. and Maude Gooding, on 27 July 1935.¹ She died on 18 November 1969.¹
     From before 1935, her married name became McArevey.¹ From 27 July 1935, her married name became du Cros.

     Renée Maude du Cros was born on 24 April 1897.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt. and Maude Gooding.² She married Lt.-Col. William Edward Hedley-Dent on 16 September 1920.¹
     From 16 September 1920, her married name became Dent.¹ From 1 November 1926, her married name became Hedley-Dent.¹

     Lt.-Col. William Edward Hedley-Dent married Renée Maude du Cros, daughter of Sir Arthur Philip du Cros, 1st Bt. and Maude Gooding, on 16 September 1920.¹
     He lived at Shortflatt Tower, Belsay, Northumberland, England^G.¹ He was given the name of William Edward Dent at birth.¹ On 1 November 1926 his name was legally changed to William Edward Hedley-Dent by Deed Poll.¹
