     He graduated from Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He was registered as a Member, Institute of Civil Engineers (M.Inst.C.E.)¹

     Elspeth Macalister is the daughter of Charles John Macalister.¹ She married, firstly, Christian Leslie Dyce Duckworth, son of Sir Dyce Duckworth, 1st Bt. and Ada Emily Fuller, on 15 September 1925.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Hywel Glyn Lewis on 9 September 1954.¹
     From 15 September 1925, her married name became Duckworth.¹ From 9 September 1954, her married name became Lewis.¹

     Captain Arthur Dyce Duckworth was born on 6 March 1896.¹ He was the son of Sir Dyce Duckworth, 1st Bt. and Ada Emily Fuller.² He married Grace Ella Mary Pontifex, daughter of Edmund Lionel Pontifex and Janet Chambers Priestley, on 6 July 1927.¹ He died in 1993.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He was Secretary of the Royal Instiute of Naval Architects between 1945 and 1963.¹

     Edmund Lionel Pontifex was born on 7 June 1856.² He was the son of Edmund Alfred Pontifex and Harriet Ann Holdsworth.² He married Janet Chambers Priestley, daughter of Sir William Overend Priestley and Eliza Chambers, on 8 August 1901 at Warnham Church, warnham, Sussex, England.² He died on 10 November 1927 at age 71.²
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.² He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bacehlor of Engineering (B.Eng.)² He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He lived at Bishops Court, Broadwater Down, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England^G.¹

     Grace Ella Mary Pontifex was born on 15 May 1905.² She was the daughter of Edmund Lionel Pontifex and Janet Chambers Priestley.^3,2 She married Captain Arthur Dyce Duckworth, son of Sir Dyce Duckworth, 1st Bt. and Ada Emily Fuller, on 6 July 1927.¹ She died in 1993.¹
     From 6 July 1927, her married name became Duckworth.

     Brigadier Geoffrey Loraine Dyce Duckworth was born on 24 May 1930.¹ He was the son of Captain Arthur Dyce Duckworth and Grace Ella Mary Pontifex.² He married Philippa Ann Rugg, daughter of Sir Edward Percy Rugg and Elizabeth Frances Symes, on 16 December 1961.¹ He died on 6 March 2010 at age 79.³
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1977.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Tank Regiment.¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1982 and 1985.¹ He lived in 2003 Weir Cottage, Bickton, Fordingbridge, Hants SP6 2HA.¹

     Sir Edward Percy Rugg was born in 1906.² He married Elizabeth Frances Symes in 1933.³ He died in 1986.²
     He lived at Fulham, London, England^G.¹ Sir Edward Percy Rugg usually went by his middle name of Percy.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1959.² He held the office of Member of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council.²

     Philippa Ann Rugg is the daughter of Sir Edward Percy Rugg and Elizabeth Frances Symes.^2,3 She married Brigadier Geoffrey Loraine Dyce Duckworth, son of Captain Arthur Dyce Duckworth and Grace Ella Mary Pontifex, on 16 December 1961.¹
     From 16 December 1961, her married name became Duckworth.

     Jeremy Dyce Duckworth was born on 1 May 1963.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Geoffrey Loraine Dyce Duckworth and Philippa Ann Rugg.² He married Christabel Elizabeth Ffynone Fordham on 30 August 1997.¹

     Christabel Elizabeth Ffynone Fordham married Jeremy Dyce Duckworth, son of Brigadier Geoffrey Loraine Dyce Duckworth and Philippa Ann Rugg, on 30 August 1997.¹
