Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir James Don of Newton Don, 2nd Bt. and Marion Scot of Goranbery.2 He married Margaret Carre, daughter of John Carre of Cavers, in 1717.1 He died on 13 April 1749.1

Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Carre.2 He married Mary Murray, daughter of John Murray of Philiphaugh, in 1750.1 He died on 2 October 1776.1

Sir James Maxwell Wallace, son of John Wallace of Kelly and Neilstounside and Janet Colquhoun, in March 1836.1 She died on 13 March 1878.1
