Dempsey, in 1945.1 He died on 23 April 2008 at age 87 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.2
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War, in Sicily and Italy.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Efficiency Decoration (E.D.)1 He retired from the military, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Canadian Military Forces.1 He was Dean of the Faculty of English Science at Western Ontario University, Ontario, CanadaG.1
