     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Berkshire and Westminster Dragoons (TA.)1 He lived in 2003 at Mallards, Hook-by-Warsash, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
