     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1910.¹ He lived at Coolock House, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Hester Colvill was born in 1852.¹ She was the daughter of John Chaigneau Colvill and Helen Maconchy.² She died on 15 October 1876, unmarried.¹

     Helen Colvill was born in 1856.¹ She was the daughter of John Chaigneau Colvill and Helen Maconchy.² She died on 1 July 1953, unmarried.¹

     Sophia Maconchy was the daughter of George Maconchy.² She married Robert Frederick Stewart Colvill, son of John Chaigneau Colvill and Helen Maconchy, on 24 October 1891.¹ She died on 14 November 1936.¹
     From 24 October 1891, her married name became Colvill.

     Sarah Lennox was born circa 1731.¹ She married Robert Colvill, son of William Colvill and Jane Thompson, on 22 August 1772.¹ She died in 1835.¹
     She lived at Londonderry, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹ From 22 August 1772, her married name became Colvill.¹
