Major John Pigott was the son of Sir Robert Pigott and Anne St. Leger.2 He married Martha Colclough, daughter of Sir Thomas Colclough and Martha Loftus.3 He died between 1 October 1646 and 2 October 1646 at IrelandG, killed in battle by royalists, he being either pro-Parliment or at any rate reluctant to oppose Parliamentary forces in Ireland.1,3
