     Eleanor Louisa Coffey was born on 20 June 1853.¹ She was the daughter of David Edward Coffey and Mary Josephine Doherty.² She married Robert R. Comney Kane, son of Sir Robert Kane, on 29 December 1875.¹
     From 29 December 1875, her married name became Kane.
