     Ludwig Friedrich Herzog von Württemberg-Mompelgard was born on 29 January 1586 at Montbéliard, France.² He was the son of Friedrich I Herzog von Württemberg and Sybille Prinzessin von Anhalt-Zerbst.¹ He married, firstly, Elisabeth Magdalena von Hessen-Darmstadt, daughter of Ludwig V Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt and Magdalen Prinzessin von Hohenzollern, on 14 July 1617.² He married, secondly, Anne Eleonora von Nassau-Weilburg-Saarbrücken on 9 June 1624.² He died on 26 January 1631 at age 44 at Montbéliard, France.²
