     Major John Peter Cochrane was born on 15 October 1913.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edward Webber Warren Cochrane and Phyllis Goddard.² He married Patricia Corinne Berthel, daughter of Professor Albert Paul Berthel, on 7 December 1948.¹ He died on 13 November 2004 at age 91 at Surrey, England.³
