Sir William Casement was born on 14 July 1778.1 He was the son of George Casement and Elizabeth Montgomery.3 He married Anne Browne, daughter of Sir George Sackville Browne, on 21 July 1803.1 He died on 16 April 1844 at age 65.1
He fought in the 2nd Mahratta War.1 He fought in the 3rd Mahratta War.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1815.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 23rd Native Infantry.1 He was Military Secretary to the Governor-General of India.1 He fought in the Major-General.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1837.1 He held the office of Nember of the Supreme Council [India] in 1839.1
