     Robert Charles Edgcumbe, 8th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe was born on 1 June 1939.¹ He was the son of George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe and Meta Lhoyer.¹ He married, firstly, Joan Ivy Wall, daughter of Ernest Wall, in 1960.¹ He and Joan Ivy Wall were divorced in 1988.¹ He married, secondly, Beryl Cottrell in 2015.² He died on 12 June 2021 at age 82.²
     He was educated at Nelson College, Nelson, New Zealand^G.¹ He was a farm manager in 1960.¹ He was with New Zealand Lands and Survey between 1975 and 1984.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Viscount Mount Edgcumbe and Valletort [G.B., 1781] on 9 December 1982.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baron Edgcumbe of Mount-Edgcumbe [G.B., 1742] on 9 December 1982.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe [G.B., 1789] on 9 December 1982.¹

     Richard Valletort Edgcumbe was born on 13 January 1936.¹ He was the son of George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe and Meta Lhoyer.¹ He died in May 1943 at age 7.¹

     Meta Lhoyer is the daughter of Charles Robert Lhoyer.¹ She married George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe, son of George Valletort Edgcumbe and Georgina Mildred Bell, on 6 April 1935.¹ She and George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe were divorced in 1943.¹
     Her married name became Edgcombe.

     Una Pamela George is the daughter of Edward Lewis George.¹ She married, firstly, George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe, son of George Valletort Edgcumbe and Georgina Mildred Bell, on 15 February 1944.¹ She married, secondly, Kenneth Baron in 1989.¹
     Her married name became Edgcombe. From 1989, her married name became Baron.¹ She lived in 2003 at 77 Arapiki Road, Stoke, Nelson, New Zealand.¹

     Edward Lewis George died before 1963.
     He lived at Perth, Western Australia, Australia^G.¹

     Piers Valletort Edgcumbe was born on 23 October 1946.¹ He was the son of George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe and Una Pamela George.¹ He married Hilda Worn in 1971.¹ He and Hilda Worn were divorced.¹ He died in 2019.²
     He lived in 2003 at 23 Chamboard Place, Nelson, New Zealand.¹

     Christopher George Mortimer Edgcumbe, 9th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe was born in 1950.¹ He is the son of George Aubrey Valletort Edgcombe and Una Pamela George.¹ He married Marion Frances Stevenson, daughter of Murray Stevenson, in 1985.¹ He and Marion Frances Stevenson were divorced in 1991.¹
     He became an unknown person ‘s adoptive father.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Mount Edgcumbe and Valletort [G.B., 1781] on 12 June 2021. He succeeded as the 11th Baron Edgcumbe of Mount-Edgcumbe [G.B., 1742] on 12 June 2021. He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe [G.B., 1789] on 12 June 2021.

     Emma Frances Edgcumbe was the daughter of Hon. George Edgcumbe and Fanny Lucy Shelley.² She died on 13 May 1854.¹

     Elizabeth Katherine Edgcumbe was born in 1841 at Kensington, London, England.² She was the daughter of Hon. George Edgcumbe and Fanny Lucy Shelley.³ She married Colonel Albert Thornton-Wodehouse, son of Admiral Hon. Edward Thornton-Wodehouse and Thornvilla Diana Thornton, on 1 July 1874.¹ She died on 5 October 1918, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Thornton-Wodehouse.
