     Austine Byrne McDonnell was born on 22 November 1928.¹ She is the daughter of Major Austin McCarthy McDonnell and Mary Theresa Belt.³ She married William Randolph Hearst, Jr., son of William Randolph Hearst and Millicent Veronica Willson, on 29 July 1948.¹
     From 29 July 1948, her married name became Hearst.¹

     William Randolph Hearst, Jr. was born on 27 January 1908.² He was the son of William Randolph Hearst and Millicent Veronica Willson. He married Austine Byrne McDonnell, daughter of Major Austin McCarthy McDonnell and Mary Theresa Belt, on 29 July 1948.¹ He died on 14 May 1993 at age 85.²
     He was chairman of Hearst Corporation.¹ He was educated at University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, California, U.S.A.^G.² He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1956 for an interview of Nikita Krushchev.¹ He lived in 1976 at 810 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, New York City, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹

     John Augustine Chilton Hearst was born on 24 October 1952.¹ He is the son of William Randolph Hearst, Jr. and Austine Byrne McDonnell.²

     Isabell Byrne was born on 24 February 1835.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Byrne and Emeline Cole.² She died, unmarried.¹

     Bernard Miles Byrne was born in 1813.¹ He was the son of Bernard Byrne and Mary Russell.² He married Louisa Matlack Abert, daughter of Colonel John James Abert, on 18 November 1851.¹ He died on 6 September 1860 at Fort Moultrie, South Carolina, U.S.A.^G.¹
     He emigrated with his parents to Maryland, U.S.A.^G, arriving on 1818.² He was educated at Maryland University, Maryland, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was commissioned in 1836, in the service of the U.S. Army Medical Corps.¹ He proved the contagious nature of cholera and wrote what was to become a standard textbook on the disease.¹
