     Anne Jane Codrington was the daughter of Admiral Sir Henry John Codrington and Helen Jane Smith.² She married Henry Stormont Finch-Hatton, 13th Earl of Winchilsea, son of George William Finch-Hatton, 10th Earl of Winchilsea and Frances Margaretta Rice, on 12 January 1882.¹ She died on 20 June 1924.¹
     Her married name became Finch-Hatton. After her marriage, Anne Jane Codrington was styled as Countess of Winchilsea on 7 September 1898.

     Admiral Sir Henry John Codrington was born on 17 October 1808.¹ He was the son of Admiral Sir Edward Codrington and Jane Hall.² He married, firstly, Helen Jane Smith, daughter of C. Webb Smith, on 9 April 1849.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Compton, daughter of Henry Combe Compton and Charlotte Mills, on 8 October 1869.² He died on 4 August 1877 at age 68.²
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in the Royal Navy.¹

     Guy Montagu George Finch-Hatton, 14th Earl of Winchilsea was born on 28 May 1885.¹ He was the son of Henry Stormont Finch-Hatton, 13th Earl of Winchilsea and Anne Jane Codrington.^1,2 He married Margaretta Armstrong Drexel, daughter of Anthony Joseph Drexel II and Margarita Armstrong, on 8 June 1910.¹ He died on 10 February 1939 at age 53.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1908 in the Royal East Kent Yeomanry.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.¹ He was member of the London Stock Exchange.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Winchilsea [E., 1556] on 14 August 1927.² He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Nottingham [E., 1681] on 14 August 1927.² He succeeded as the 14th Viscount of Maidstone [E., 1623] on 14 August 1927.² He succeeded as the 15th Baronet Finch, of Eastwell, Kent [E., 1611] on 14 August 1927.² He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Finch [E., 1660] on 14 August 1927.² He succeeded as the 9th Baron Finch of Daventry, co. Northampton [E., 1674] on 14 August 1927.²

     Helen Jane Smith is the daughter of C. Webb Smith.² She married Admiral Sir Henry John Codrington, son of Admiral Sir Edward Codrington and Jane Hall, on 9 April 1849.¹
     From 9 April 1849, her married name became Codrington.

     Catherine Compton was born before 1854. She was the daughter of Henry Combe Compton and Charlotte Mills.^2,3 She married, firstly, Admiral A. Aitchinson before 1869.¹ She married, secondly, Admiral Sir Henry John Codrington, son of Admiral Sir Edward Codrington and Jane Hall, on 8 October 1869.¹ She died on 4 April 1880.¹
     From before 1869, her married name became Aitchinson.¹ Her married name became Codrington.

     Henry Combe Compton was born on 6 January 1789.² He is the son of John Compton.³ He married Charlotte Mills, daughter of William Mills and Elizabeth Digby, on 16 January 1810.² He died on 27 November 1866 at age 77.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)² He lived at The Manor House, Minstead, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Penelope Mary Travers Walton is the daughter of George Cummings Walton.¹ She married Timothy Christopher John Chenevix-Trench, son of Christopher John Chenevix Trench and Mary Elizabeth Catherine Allen, on 2 September 1961.¹ She and Timothy Christopher John Chenevix-Trench were divorced in 1973.¹
     From 2 September 1961, her married name became Chenevix-Trench.¹

     Margaretta Armstrong Drexel was born in 1889 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Anthony Joseph Drexel II and Margarita Armstrong. She married Guy Montagu George Finch-Hatton, 14th Earl of Winchilsea, son of Henry Stormont Finch-Hatton, 13th Earl of Winchilsea and Anne Jane Codrington, on 8 June 1910.² She died on 22 December 1952.²
     Her married name became Finch-Hatton. After her marriage, Margaretta Armstrong Drexel was styled as Countess of Winchilsea on 14 August 1927.

     Anthony Joseph Drexel II was born on 9 September 1864 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was the son of Anthony Joseph Drexel and Ellen B. Rozet.² He married Margarita Armstrong, daughter of John A. Armstrong.³ He and Margarita Armstrong were divorced circa 1915.³ He died on 14 December 1934 at age 70 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹
