     Lt.-Col. John Hervey Knox-Browne was born on 24 March 1841.¹ He was the son of Thomas Richardson Browne and Sarah de Montmorency.² He married Louisa Elizabeth Knox-Gore, daughter of Sir Francis Arthur Knox-Gore, 1st Bt., on 19 December 1867.¹ He died on 3 April 1927 at age 86.¹
     He was given the name of John Hervey Browne at birth.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 12th Lancers.¹ On 16 March 1874 his name was legally changed to John Hervey Knox-Browne by Royal Sign-Manual.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, the Duke of Abercorn in 1886.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 9th Brigade, Northern Irish Division (Royal Artillery.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tyrone.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tyrone.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone.¹ He lived at Aughentaine Castle, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹

     Lee David Greif was the son of David Greif.¹ He married Moyra Grace Tuck, daughter of Sir William Reginald Tuck, 2nd Bt. and Gladys Emily Nathan, on 16 January 1947.¹ He died on 23 August 1950.¹

     Louisa Elizabeth Knox-Gore was the daughter of Sir Francis Arthur Knox-Gore, 1st Bt.² She married Lt.-Col. John Hervey Knox-Browne, son of Thomas Richardson Browne and Sarah de Montmorency, on 19 December 1867.¹ She died on 22 May 1903.¹
     From 19 December 1867, her married name became Browne. From 16 March 1874, her married name became Knox-Browne.

     Thomas Arthur Hervey Knox-Browne was born on 29 May 1870.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Hervey Knox-Browne and Louisa Elizabeth Knox-Gore.² He died in March 1934 at age 63, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Mid-Ulster Artillery.¹

     Mervyn William Charles Nesbitt Knox-Browne was born on 21 April 1880.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Hervey Knox-Browne and Louisa Elizabeth Knox-Gore.² He married Mary George, daughter of Captain Thomas Barry George, on 1 August 1911.¹ He died on 6 November 1954 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tyrone.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1935.¹ He lived at Aughentaine Castle, County Tyrone, Ireland^G.¹

     Captain Thomas Barry George lived at Mount Shannon, County Clare, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Roseneath, Corbally, County Limerick, Ireland^G.¹

     Mary George was born circa 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Thomas Barry George.² She married Mervyn William Charles Nesbitt Knox-Browne, son of Lt.-Col. John Hervey Knox-Browne and Louisa Elizabeth Knox-Gore, on 1 August 1911.¹ She died on 3 November 1973.¹
     She was also known as May.¹ From 1 August 1911, her married name became Knox-Browne. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1950.¹

     Mervyn Hervey Knox-Browne was born on 29 May 1927.¹ He was the son of Mervyn William Charles Nesbitt Knox-Browne and Mary George.² He married Catherine Ferguson, daughter of Hugh Ferguson, on 24 October 1956.¹ He died on 17 November 2022 at age 95.³
     He was educated at Glenalmond College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He sold Aughentaine County Tyrone in 1955 to Colonel John Henry Hamilton Stubber.² He sold Aughentaine Castle, to Captain J. H. Hamilton Stubber and was subsequently demolished in 1955.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire in 1968.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1999.³ He lived in 2015 at Milton of Ardtalnaig, Loch Tayside, Perthshire, Scotland^G.^1,3

     Hugh Ferguson lived at Cuiltrannich, Lawers, Loch Tayside, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Catherine Ferguson was the daughter of Hugh Ferguson.² She married Mervyn Hervey Knox-Browne, son of Mervyn William Charles Nesbitt Knox-Browne and Mary George, on 24 October 1956.¹ She died on 24 October 1983.³
     From 24 October 1956, her married name became Knox-Browne.¹
