     Captain Charles Clinton Stevens was born on 21 June 1912.¹ He was the son of Herbert Charles Stevens and Irene Fynes-Clinton.² He married, firstly, Kathleen Mary McQuilken on 14 October 1939.¹ He and Kathleen Mary McQuilken were divorced in 1965.¹ He married, secondly, Eileen Marguerite Renny, daughter of Jock Bruce Tailyour Renny, on 15 April 1966.² He died on 30 March 1987 at age 74.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.² He was commissioned between 1953 and 1954 with the rank of Commander, in the service of the RNAS H.M.S. Curlew Cornwall.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal New Zealand Navy.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1961 in the Australian Navigation, Torpedo and Anti-Submarine Establishment, H.M.A.S. Watson Sydney.² He was Commodore and 2nd Naval Member and Director of Personnel, New Zealand Naval Board between 1961 and 1964.² He held the office of Honorary Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II.²

     Kathleen Mary McQuilken married Captain Charles Clinton Stevens, son of Herbert Charles Stevens and Irene Fynes-Clinton, on 14 October 1939.¹ She and Captain Charles Clinton Stevens were divorced in 1965.¹
     From 14 October 1939, her married name became Stevens.

     Geoffrey Fynes-Clinton Stevens was born on 7 November 1940.¹ He is the son of Captain Charles Clinton Stevens and Kathleen Mary McQuilken.² He married Elizabeth Georgina Lloyd-Johnes, daughter of Major Herbert Johnes Lloyd-Johnes, on 21 December 1966.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in 1962 in the Royal New Zealand Navy.¹ He retired from the military in 1965, with the rank of Lieutenant.² He was with Price, Waterhouse in 1967 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Througham Manor, The Camp, Stroud, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹
