S/Ldr. John Forbes André Day was born on 6 March 1890 at Ballinderry, County Westmeath, Ireland.2 He was the son of Charles Lewis Adre Day.1 He married Grace Lilian Greene, daughter of John Nassau Greene and Annie Kathleen Jackson, on 14 April 1937.1 He died on 30 October 1942 at age 52, killed in action.1
He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.)1
