     Captain James Gustavus Gladstone is the son of Sir Hugh Gladstone of Capenoch.2 He married Rosamond Daisy Fellowes, daughter of Hon. Reginald Ailwyn Fellowes and Marguerite Séverine Philippine Decazes de Glücksbierg, on 29 October 1941.1 He and Rosamond Daisy Fellowes were divorced in 1945.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1
