     Barry Francis Lyttelton Denny was born on 6 June 1928.¹ He was the son of Rev. Sir Henry Lyttelton Lyster Denny, 7th Bt. and Joan Lucy Dorothy Denny.² He married, firstly, Gertrude Tamara Jex, daughter of Harry Carnet Jex, on 8 December 1951.¹ He and Gertrude Tamara Jex were divorced in 1968.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Rosemary Jordon White, daughter of Colonel James Frederick White, on 9 April 1969.² He died on 4 February 2011 at age 82.³
     He was educated at Clayesmore School, Iwerne Minster, Dorset, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Cadet in 1946 in the Indian Army.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G, Clayesmore and RMA Sandhurst.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1949 in the Royal Artillery.¹ He retired from the military in 1960, with the rank of Temporary Major.² He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1962 and 1989.² He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1979.¹ He was awarded the Commander Order of St. Olav of Norway in 1981.² He lived in 2003 at Tudor House, Broadwindsor, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Harry Carnet Jex lived at Hong Kong^G.¹

     Gertrude Tamara Jex is the daughter of Harry Carnet Jex.² She married, firstly, Clifford Crofton.² She married, secondly, Barry Francis Lyttelton Denny, son of Rev. Sir Henry Lyttelton Lyster Denny, 7th Bt. and Joan Lucy Dorothy Denny, on 8 December 1951.¹ She and Barry Francis Lyttelton Denny were divorced in 1968.¹
     Her married name became Crofton.² From 8 December 1951, her married name became Denny.

     James Barry Lyster Denny was born on 24 April 1958.¹ He is the son of Barry Francis Lyttelton Denny and Gertrude Tamara Jex.² He married Susan Elizabeth Scholfield, daughter of Derek Scholfield, in 1979.¹
