     Thomas Hamilton Denny usually went by his middle name of Hamilton.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 6th Battalion, Devon Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 7th Gurkha Rifles.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1942.1
