     He was educated at St. Mary’s College, Oscott, Handsworth, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Boer War in the with Leicestershire Yeomanry.¹ He was Inspector, Transvaal Mounted Police in 1908.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Galway in 1917.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Galway.¹ He lived at Ballinderry, Kilconnell, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹

     Andrew Daniel Comyn was born on 23 September 1872.¹ He was the son of Andrew Nugent Comyn and Mary O’Connell.^2,1 He died on 23 May 1949 at age 76, unmarried.¹
     He graduated in 1896 with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He was a cricketeer, who played for Sir Timothy O’Brien’s ‘Gentlemen of Ireland XI’ versus Dr W. G Grace.¹

     Colonel Lewis James Comyn was born on 13 March 1878.¹ He was the son of Andrew Nugent Comyn and Mary O’Connell.^2,1 He married Esther Mary Egan, daughter of Lawrence Egan, on 21 October 1914.¹ He died on 17 March 1961 at age 83.¹
     He was educated at Clongowes Wood College, S.J., Clane, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches five times.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.¹ He was awarded the Legion d’Honneur.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Connaught Rangers.¹ He was an Instructor between 1923 and 1926 at Staff College, Camberley, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was commander of the 2nd Battalion, King’s Own Sscottish Borderes in 1926.¹ He was Assistant Quartermaster-General of the Egyptian Command between 1929 and 1933.¹ He lived at Spring Cottage, mallow, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Major John Andrew Comyn was born on 28 August 1915.¹ He was the son of Colonel Lewis James Comyn and Esther Mary Egan.² He married, firstly, Diana Mary Neal, daughter of Archibald Charles Neal, on 30 April 1948.¹ He and Diana Mary Neal were divorced in 1961.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Evelyn Grant, daughter of Major Alexander Grant, on 12 June 1963.¹ He died in May 2000 at age 84 at Yeovil, Somerset, England.³
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in North Africa, where he became a POW.¹ He retired from the military in 1950, with the rank of Major, late of the King’s Royal Irish Hussars.¹ He was Director of Saintrutt & Parker (Farms) Ltd.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1968.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Chartered Insitutute of Secretaries (F.C.I.S.)¹ He lived in 1976 at Terling, Chelmsford, Essex, England^G.¹
