     Colonel George Robert Townshend was born on 13 April 1856.¹ He was the son of Samuel Philip Townshend and Frances Helena Newman.² He married Petrie Wisdom, daughter of T. H. Wisdom, on 9 October 1886.¹
     He lived at Garrycloyne, County Cork, Ireland^G.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Petrie Wisdom is the daughter of T. H. Wisdom.² She married Colonel George Robert Townshend, son of Samuel Philip Townshend and Frances Helena Newman, on 9 October 1886.¹

     Hugh Townshend was born on 17 November 1890.¹ He was the son of Colonel George Robert Townshend and Petrie Wisdom.² He married Winifred Dora Mary Higham, daughter of Reverend Charles William Richard Higham, in 1920.¹ He died on 9 July 1974 at age 83.¹
     He was educated at King’s School, Canterbury, Kent, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1912 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War, with Royal Engineers.¹ He was Director of Overseas Telecommunications, General Post Office.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1947.¹ He lived at Puckaster Corner, Niton Undercliff, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹

     Reverend Charles William Richard Higham held the office of Rural Dean (R.D.) of Trentham, Staffordshire.¹

     Winifred Dora Mary Higham was the daughter of Reverend Charles William Richard Higham.² She married Hugh Townshend, son of Colonel George Robert Townshend and Petrie Wisdom, in 1920.¹ She died in 1972.¹
     From 1920, her married name became Townshend.

     Francis Hugh Townshend was born on 9 March 1924.¹ He is the son of Hugh Townshend and Winifred Dora Mary Higham.² He married, firstly, Mechtilde (?)¹ He married, secondly, Antonietta (?)¹ He and Mechtilde (?) were divorced.¹

     Mechtilde (?) married, secondly, Francis Hugh Townshend, son of Hugh Townshend and Winifred Dora Mary Higham.¹ She and Francis Hugh Townshend were divorced.¹
     Her married name became Townshend.¹ She lived at Germany^G.¹
