     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Connaught Rangers.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Munster Fusiliers.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork.¹ He lived in 1898 at Myross Wood, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     William Tower Townsend was born on 26 August 1855.¹ He was the son of John Handcock Townsend and Katherine Emma Tower.² He married Hon. Geraline Emily Curzon, daughter of Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon, 4th Baron Scarsdale and Blanche Senhouse, on 28 February 1901.³ He died on 6 February 1943 at age 87.¹
     He was Captain R West Kent Regiment.¹ He was educated Haileybury.¹ He was County Cork.³ And Derry.¹ Sussex.¹ He lived Bodiam Manor.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork in 1883.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cork in 1913.¹ He lived at Myross Wood, County Cork, Ireland.³

     Captain R. G. Westropp lived at Camberley, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Hon. Geraline Emily Curzon was born on 8 May 1871.² She was the daughter of Alfred Nathaniel Holden Curzon, 4th Baron Scarsdale and Blanche Senhouse.^3,1 She married William Tower Townsend, son of John Handcock Townsend and Katherine Emma Tower, on 28 February 1901.² She died on 17 May 1940 at age 69.²
     From 28 February 1901, her married name became Townsend.

     Alfred Curzon Townsend was born on 2 July 1903.¹ He was the son of William Tower Townsend and Hon. Geraline Emily Curzon.² He died on 8 July 1903.¹

     Blanche Hermione Townsend was born on 15 December 1901.¹ She is the daughter of William Tower Townsend and Hon. Geraline Emily Curzon.² She married John Salkeld Tetley, son of Charles William Tetley and Blanche Younghusband, on 16 April 1925.¹ She and John Salkeld Tetley were divorced in 1935.¹
     From 16 April 1925, her married name became Tetley. She lived in 1976 at Old Heath, Halland, Lewes, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Charles William Tetley was born circa 1853 at Bradford, Yorkshire, England.² He married Blanche Younghusband in 1885 at Bradford, Yorkshire, England.²
     He lived at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England^G.¹

     John Salkeld Tetley was born in 1901 at Bocking, Essex, England.² He was the son of Charles William Tetley and Blanche Younghusband.^3,2 He married Blanche Hermione Townsend, daughter of William Tower Townsend and Hon. Geraline Emily Curzon, on 16 April 1925.¹ He and Blanche Hermione Townsend were divorced in 1935.¹

     Mollie Valerie Townshend Tetley was born on 19 February 1926.¹ She is the daughter of John Salkeld Tetley and Blanche Hermione Townsend.² She married Colonel Peter John Garratt, son of Bernard Garratt, on 24 January 1953.¹
     From 24 January 1953, her married name became Garratt.
