     William Robert Salter-Townshend is the son of William Jagoe Salter.1 He married Rose-Marie Elizabeth Stephens-Townshend, daughter of Maurice Fitzgerald Stephens-Townshend and Blanche Lillie ffolliott, in 1938.1
     He was given the name of William Robert Salter at birth.1 In 1949 his name was legally changed to William Robert Salter-Townshend by Deed Poll.1

     From 1938, her married name became Salter.1 From 1949, her married name became Salter-Townshend.1 She lived in 1976 at Castle Townshend, County Cork, IrelandG.1
