     He was educated at Sacred Heart College, Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Naval REserve.¹ He was a practising Barrister-at-Law.¹ He was Chichele Professor of Public International Law at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Reserve Decoration (R.D.) in 1975.¹ He lived in 1976 at Power Hill House, Boars Hill, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Knight of Honour and Devotion, Sovereign Military Order of Malta.¹

     Renate Else Agnes von Kleist is the daughter of Osbert Ewald von Kleist.² She married Daniel Patrick O’Connell, son of Daniel Patrick O’Connell and Magdalen Alice Roche, on 21 September 1957.¹
     From 21 September 1957, her married name became O’Connell.

     Maurice Daniel Charles O’Connell was born on 19 January 1959.¹ He is the son of Daniel Patrick O’Connell and Renate Else Agnes von Kleist.²
