     Myles Walter Ponsonby was born on 12 September 1924.¹ He was the son of Victor Coope Ponsonby and Gladys Edith Walter.² He married Ann Veronica Theresa Maynard, daughter of Brigadier Francis Herbert Maynard and Ethel Bates, on 20 May 1950.¹ He died on 1 February 1999 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1945, where he was wounded.¹ He was Consul-General to Hanoi between 1964 and 1965.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1966.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to Mongolia between 1974 and 1977.¹

     Brigadier Francis Herbert Maynard was born on 21 December 1881 at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada^G.² He was the son of M. W. Maynard and Ellen Dickey.² He married Ethel Bates in 1914.² He died on 30 March 1979 at age 97.²
     He was educated at Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario, Canada^G.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.¹ He fought in the Third Afghan War.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1937.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1937.¹ He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1937 and 1938, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.² He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George VI between 1937 and 1938.² He retired from the military in 1938, with the rank of Brigadier.² He gained the rank of Acting Wing Commander in 1945 in the Royal Air Force Volunteer reserve.² He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Military Science (D.Sc.Mil.) by Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario, Canada^G, in 1976.²

     Ann Veronica Theresa Maynard was born on 23 December 1924.² She was the daughter of Brigadier Francis Herbert Maynard and Ethel Bates.^3,4 She married Myles Walter Ponsonby, son of Victor Coope Ponsonby and Gladys Edith Walter, on 20 May 1950.¹ She died on 3 October 2023 at age 98.²
     She was a morse operator for the SOE during the Second World War.² From 20 May 1950, her married name became Ponsonby. She was awarded the Legion d’Honneur in 2019.²

     Air Vice Marshal John Maurice Maynard Ponsonby was born on 8 August 1955.¹ He is the son of Myles Walter Ponsonby and Ann Veronica Theresa Maynard.² He married Marie Jose Antoinette Van Huizen-Husselson, daughter of W. M. Van Huizen-Husselson, in 1980.¹
     He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1998.¹

     W. M. Van Huizen-Husselson lived at Knoll House, Kilmersdon, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Marie Jose Antoinette Van Huizen-Husselson is the daughter of W. M. Van Huizen-Husselson.² She married Air Vice Marshal John Maurice Maynard Ponsonby, son of Myles Walter Ponsonby and Ann Veronica Theresa Maynard, in 1980.¹
     Marie Jose Antoinette Van Huizen-Husselson also went by the nick-name of Cé.¹ From 1980, her married name became Ponsonby.

     Luke Myles William Ponsonby was born in 1986.¹ He is the son of Air Vice Marshal John Maurice Maynard Ponsonby and Marie Jose Antoinette Van Huizen-Husselson.² He married Rosanna Thea Bullivant, daughter of George A. Bullivant and Sarah Spooner.³

     Charlotte Emma Ponsonby was born in 1982.¹ She is the daughter of Air Vice Marshal John Maurice Maynard Ponsonby and Marie Jose Antoinette Van Huizen-Husselson.²

     Francesca Sarah Ponsonby was born in 1986.¹ She is the daughter of Air Vice Marshal John Maurice Maynard Ponsonby and Marie Jose Antoinette Van Huizen-Husselson.²

     Belinda Mary Ponsonby was born on 5 May 1951.¹ She is the daughter of Myles Walter Ponsonby and Ann Veronica Theresa Maynard.² She married Edward John Mitchell in 1973.¹
     From 1973, her married name became Mitchell. She lived in 2003 at 28 Lancaster Grove, London, England^G.¹
