     Shelagh O’Brian was born on 5 August 1934.¹ She is the daughter of Major Robert Alfred O’Brian and Hon. Eileen Vivien de la Poer Beresford.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. John Penny, son of Frederick Charles Penny, on 28 December 1961.¹
     From 28 December 1961, her married name became Penny.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. John Penny is the son of Frederick Charles Penny.¹ He married Shelagh O’Brian, daughter of Major Robert Alfred O’Brian and Hon. Eileen Vivien de la Poer Beresford, on 28 December 1961.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Frederick Charles Penny was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹

     Timothy Charles Penny was born on 15 September 1964.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Cdr. John Penny and Shelagh O’Brian.¹
