Captain Reginald Stannus Goff was born on 27 February 1882.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Trevor Goff and Henrietta Maude Saye.2 He married Vera Colville Gilchrist, daughter of William Oswald Gilchrist, on 22 August 1918.1 He died on 12 November 1965 at age 83, without issue.1
He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy, with the destroyer flotillas.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1946.1
